QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan has announced a province-wide public holiday on Thursday, March 19, 2026. According to the official notification, all government and private institutions across the province will remain closed on that day.
Meanwhile, the Government of Pakistan has declared official public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr on March 20 and 21, 2026 (Friday and Saturday). These holidays apply to all government offices, whether following a 5-day or 6-day work week.
This results in government employees enjoying four consecutive holidays:
- March 20–21: Eid-ul-Fitr public holidays
- March 22: Sunday (regular weekly off)
- March 23: Pakistan Day (public holiday)
