KABUL: The Afghan Taliban regime has made another allegation claiming that Pakistan targeted a drug rehabilitation hospital in Kabul, a claim officials say is completely unfounded.
Pakistan maintains that in its ongoing counterterrorism operations, it only targets militant infrastructure and facilities linked to activities that plan, support, or carry out attacks inside the country.
According to the statement, the strikes conducted on the night of March 16, 2026, in Kabul and Nangarhar were precise and aimed solely at military and terrorist targets.
Authorities stressed that no hospitals, rehabilitation centers, or civilian sites were hit. Instead, the operations focused on ammunition depots, technical equipment storage, and other installations associated with hostile actions against Pakistan.
Officials added that video footage of all six strikes was released by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Pakistan, clearly showing the intended targets.
The explosions and secondary blasts observed in Kabul were said to confirm that ammunition storage facilities were accurately struck.
The statement further accused the Afghan Taliban of spreading misinformation through false narratives, manipulated content, and misleading visuals.
It emphasized that the core issue remains the continued threat of terrorism originating from areas under Taliban control, which poses risks not only to Pakistan but also to regional and global security.
Pakistan reiterated its position that it will continue taking all necessary measures to protect its citizens, counter terrorism, and prevent militant groups from using cross-border safe havens.
