QUETTA: The total of 5,615 Pakistani citizens have returned to the country from Iran through the border districts of Gwadar and Chagai between February 28 and last night.

In this regard, 2,117 Iranian drivers and 431 other foreign nationals also entered Pakistan through the same border routes during this period. The cross-border movement has been handled under strict administrative coordination to ensure safety, documentation verification, and smooth passage for all travelers.

The district administrations of Gwadar and Chagai played a key role in facilitating the incoming travelers. Local authorities arranged necessary assistance and ensured that passengers were provided with essential services upon arrival.

In this sense, special arrangements were made for food, temporary accommodation where required, and guidance for onward travel to different parts of the country.

The Balochistan’s government confirmed that it is fully active and vigilant at both border crossing points. Measures have been taken to ensure the comfort, safety, and smooth transit of all passengers entering Pakistan.

The provincial government reasserted its commitment to maintaining organized border management while ensuring humanitarian assistance for returning citizens and other travelers.
