Gunmen kidnap three laborers from mining site in Zhob

ZHOB: Three workers from a mineral extraction site were abducted by unidentified armed men in the Mir Ali Khel area of Zhob district on Wednesday, officials said.

 

According to police, the victims belong to the Pishin district and were working at the site when the armed men struck. Following the incident, law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation to track down the perpetrators.

 

“Search operations have been intensified, and efforts are underway to recover the abducted workers safely,” a police official stated. No group has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping so far.

Two day earlier in a same incident, a tragic landmine explosion occurred in the Lanjow Sagari area of Sui, Dera Bugti.

The incident took place on the land of Wadera Ali Bagh Chakrani, where two poor laborers stepped on a landmine.

In the blast, one laborer was martyred on the spot, while the other sustained severe injuries.

The police team arrived on the spot and shifted the body and the injured person to hospital.

The necessary evidences of the blast incident were also collected by the police.

The Baloch Libration Army BLA and other insurgents are taking responsibilities of such incidents in the past.
