KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan continued their downward trend today, with a significant further decline recorded in the local market.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs10,000, settling at Rs539,962.
Similarly, the price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs8,573, bringing it to Rs462,930.
This drop follows yesterday’s sharp reduction of Rs13,900 per tola.
On the international front, gold prices also eased, trading at approximately $5,172 per ounce (down around $100 from recent highs amid market corrections and shifting geopolitical sentiments).
Local gold rates closely track global bullion movements, influenced by factors such as the US dollar strength, interest rate expectations, and regional tensions.
Investors and buyers are advised to monitor updates closely, as volatility remains high.
