Six US soldiers killed in Iran drone attack on Kuwait base

WASHINGTON: The U.S. Department of Defense has confirmed that six American service members were killed in a drone attack on a U.S. base in Kuwait, with four of the fallen soldiers now identified.

The attack occurred March 1 at Port Shuaiba, a strategic naval facility in Kuwait. The Pentagon has identified four of the six victims:

· Capt. Cody Khork, 35

· Sgt. 1st Class Noah Tietjens, 42

· Sgt. Declan Coady, 20

· Sgt. 1st Class Nicole Amor, 39

The names of the remaining two service members have not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

The drone strike marks a significant escalation in Iran’s retaliatory campaign against U.S. forces in the region, following the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in U.S.-Israeli strikes. Kuwait hosts thousands of American troops and serves as a key logistics hub for U.S. operations in the Middle East.

Officials said the attack targeted the base directly, though further details on the exact circumstances remain under investigation.
