TEHRAN/ TEL AVIV: Acting Iranian Defence Minister Reportedly Killed in Israeli Strike: Israeli Media Claim
Israeli media has claimed that Iran’s acting Defence Minister, Majid Ibn al-Reza, was killed in recent Israeli attacks.
The claim was first reported on social media by Israel’s Channel 12 television. Several Indian media outlets also circulated the same claim on social platforms.
According to the reports, Iran’s newly appointed acting Defence Minister was killed in an Israeli strike just 24 hours after his appointment.
However, neither Israel nor Iran has issued any official confirmation or denial of the claim. No credible international news agency has verified or refuted the report so far.
It is worth noting that on Monday, Iran’s President appointed Majid Ibn al-Reza—a General in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), as acting Defence Minister.
