Afghan Taliban Spokesperson Admits Role in Terror Attacks in Pakistan

KABUL: Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, has admitted that they are targeting the Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies through terrorist attacks.

Pakistan carried out intelligence-based airstrikes on Saturday, destroying seven Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) hideouts in the Afghanistan-backed insurgent network across the three Afghan provinces of Nangarhar, Paktika, and Khost. According to the Information Ministry, at least 80 Khawarij militants were killed in the strikes, which also included a camp of the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP), the group responsible for a suicide bombing at an Islamabad mosque that killed 32 people earlier this month.

Reacting to Pakistan’s airstrikes on terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan, Mujahid admitted in an interview with Ariana News, that they are targeting Pakistani forces through terrorist attacks. He warned that Pakistan’s recent strikes would not go unanswered.

The remarks expose cross-border hostility and highlight the intentions of Indian-backed proxies. Mujahid also acknowledged that they are spreading unrest in Pakistan, validating Islamabad’s position on safe havens for the TTP in Afghanistan and the backing of the Kabul regime.
