CM Sarfraz Bugti Pledges Jobs, Aid for Terror Victims’ Families

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced on Thursday that his government is taking decisive steps to maintain stability in the prices of essential food items throughout the holy month of Ramadan. He issued a stern warning against overcharging and hoarding, stating that such practices would “not be tolerated under any circumstances.”

In an official statement, the Chief Minister emphasized that Ramadan carries a message of sacrifice, sincerity, and patience, and the administration is committed to reflecting these values by ensuring public relief. To empower citizens, he announced that the Chief Minister’s Complaint Cell is now directly accessible to the public. Any individual facing price hikes or other issues can register their grievances with the cell for immediate action.

Bugti highlighted that ample relief measures are being prioritized for the poor and vulnerable classes in the province. As part of these efforts, a special Ramadan package is being distributed to three lakh (300,000) deserving families across Balochistan.

To ensure transparency, the government has mandated that the distribution of the package be handled by eight-member District Development Committees. These committees are tasked with overseeing the transparent distribution of goods and ensuring timely delivery to all beneficiaries.

For any complaints or concerns regarding the distribution of the Ramadan package, citizens have been directed to utilize the Chief Minister’s Complaint Portal to seek immediate redressal.
