Medical report on Imran Khan’s eye submitted to authorities

RAWALPINDI: In a significant development regarding the health of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, sources indicate that his eye pain has “significantly reduced.” The former prime minister, currently incarcerated in Adiala Jail, is showing positive signs of recovery following medical intervention.

According to jail sources, a team of five senior doctors, including ophthalmologists, conducted a thorough medical examination of Imran Khan inside the prison on Saturday. The specialized team, which included Dr. Farooq, Dr. Sikandar, and Dr. Arif, brought specialized equipment to facilitate a comprehensive checkup. Technicians were also part of the medical team to assist with the procedures.

Sources close to the development stated that the medical team remained in the jail for over two and a half hours, awaiting the arrival of PTI leadership. However, when no leader from the party reached the facility, the doctors proceeded with the examination of the PTI founder.

Following the checkup, a detailed medical report on Imran Khan’s eye condition has been compiled and forwarded to the relevant authorities. The examination and subsequent report come in compliance with a directive from the Supreme Court, which had sought the medical examination report of the PTI founder before February 16. The positive response to the initial treatment suggests further improvement is expected in the coming days.
