QUETTA: Frontier Corps Balochistan North Eliminates 7 Fitna al-Hindustan Terrorists in Coordinated Counter-Operations in Quetta and Mastung
Quetta, Pakistan – February 1, 2026 – In swift and decisive counter-terrorism actions on January 31, 2026, personnel from the South Wing Frontier Corps (SOW) Balochistan North neutralized seven terrorists affiliated with the Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH) group during two separate engagements in Mastung and Quetta districts.
These operations occurred amid a broader wave of coordinated militant attacks across Balochistan, which security forces have actively repelled, resulting in significant militant casualties reported by official sources.
Key Details of the Operations:
- Mastung – 78 Wing Headquarters Area: At approximately 0600 hours, five FAH terrorists launched a coordinated fire raid on the 78 Wing Headquarters in Mastung. Responding with immediate courage and precision, two Counter-Terrorism (CT) personnel under Major Asif, supported by one CT from Major Maaz of 78 Wing, engaged the attackers using sniper fire to contain them at the bus terminal. Following intense firefight, a relentless pursuit, effective containment by 78 Wing CT elements, and a meticulously executed clearance operation led by one SOW CT team under Major Asif, all five terrorists were eliminated.
- Siryab Road, Quetta – 115 Wing Area of Responsibility: Concurrently, multiple FAH terrorists initiated widespread engagements in an attempt to disrupt law and order in Quetta city. Two SOW CT personnel under Captain Khurram and Captain Ali displayed exemplary bravery in close-quarters combat, successfully neutralizing two terrorists and critically injuring three others.

- 3 x Submachine Guns (SMGs) with 14 magazines and 415 rounds
- 2 x M16 rifles with 14 magazines and 452 rounds

- 4 x Under-Barrel Grenade Launchers (UBGL) grenades
- 11 x HE36 grenades
- 2 x Night Vision Goggles (NVG)
- 2 x Walkie-Talkies (WS)
- 1 x Power bank
- 3 x Smart phones

These successful engagements form part of the ongoing clearance and sanitization operations in response to the January 31 attacks by FAH elements across multiple districts, including Quetta, Mastung, Nushki, and others. Official military statements, including from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), have reported 92 militants eliminated on January 31 alone, with cumulative figures exceeding 130-145 in recent days under the Azm-e-Istehkam framework.
