QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti stated that 17 security personnel were martyred in clashes with terrorists, while the authorities have the bodies of 145 terrorists in their possession.
He mentioned that reports indicate Afghan nationals were also among the terrorists involved.
Addressing a press conference, CM Bugti said the government had prior intelligence reports, which allowed security forces to launch operations a day in advance.
Over 40 hours, 145 terrorists were killed, and their bodies are currently with the authorities.
In these attacks, 31 civilians were martyred, with some others injured.
Throughout the year, around 1,500 terrorists have been eliminated in various operations.
He added that 40 terrorists were killed a day earlier in operations in Shaboz and Panjgur, which prevented attacks from the northeast of Quetta and in Panjgur itself.
Due to the alertness of security forces, a major attack was foiled. No villages in Balochistan were evacuated for these operations, and pursuits of fleeing terrorists continue.
CM Bugti emphasized that terrorists aim to impose their ideology through the barrel of a gun, but the state will not lay down its arms. even if it takes a thousand years to fight this war.
He slammed India for using people in Balochistan as fuel under its directives.
He made it clear that terrorists will not take even an inch of land from them, and Balochistan will certainly return to peace.
