QUETTA : In a high-level press conference on Monday, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi directly accused India of orchestrating and supporting terrorism within Pakistan, following a series of coordinated attacks in Balochistan. Speaking alongside Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Naqvi stated unequivocally, “Everyone should know that India is behind terrorism in Pakistan, we have evidence.”
Minister Naqvi elaborated on the allegation, claiming Indian involvement extends to the planning stages of terrorist activities. “India is supporting terrorists, India is helping terrorists in planning,” he asserted. Despite the severe nature of the recent assaults, Naqvi praised the response of the security forces, stating, “the security forces found and killed any terrorist who came,” and paid tribute to the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps (FC).
He also lauded Chief Minister Bugti’s leadership, declaring him “the bravest person” and suggesting that “if there were a few more Sarfaraz Bugti, terrorism would have ended in days.”
Chief Minister Bugti, expressing gratitude for Minister Naqvi’s immediate visit to Quetta, confirmed that the Interior Minister chaired a high-level security meeting to review the situation. Bugti honored the personnel who lost their lives, stating, “I salute the martyrs,” and commended the security forces for their effective response.
In a somber account of the violence, Bugti detailed a brutal attack in Gwadar, revealing that “the women and children of a Baloch family were brutally killed.” He described how terrorists entered a labor colony and targeted Baloch families, an act condemned as a heinous crime against civilians.
The joint statements mark a significant escalation in Pakistan’s official accusations against its regional rival, linking the recent instability directly to foreign state sponsorship while vowing continued military and governmental resolve.
