KABUL: The United Afghanistan Front (UAF), an anti-Taliban resistance group, announced that its fighters successfully captured a Taliban outpost in the central province of Ghor late last night.
According to a statement released by the group, the operation resulted in the seizure of the military position, while the majority of the Taliban personnel stationed there reportedly fled the scene during the clash. The UAF claims the outpost is now under their control.
Details regarding the exact location of the outpost or the number of fighters involved remain scarce. The Taliban has not yet issued an official response or comment regarding the UAF’s claims. The security situation in Ghor, like much of Afghanistan, remains complex, with resistance groups continuing to conduct operations against the de facto authorities.
