Dera Murad Jamali: In an overnight operation, Jaffarabad police raided a suspected prostitution den in the City Dera Allah Yar area, leading to the arrest of twelve individuals.
Acting on intelligence, a police team conducted a targeted raid on the premises. According to official reports, the operation resulted in the arrest of nine women and three men who were allegedly engaged in illicit activities. All arrested individuals were taken into custody from the scene.
The police have registered formal cases against all twelve accused under relevant legal sections pertaining to immoral activities and maintaining a disorderly house. Authorities have stated that further investigation and legal proceedings are now underway.
This action is part of the district police’s ongoing campaign against activities deemed illegal and against social norms. Senior police officials have reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order and curbing such operations in the region. The identities of the arrested individuals have not been disclosed pending further legal action.
Meanwhile the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and local police have arrested more than 70 suspects, including a large number of Afghan nationals, from the coastal areas of Turbat and Jiwani in the Makran division over the past 24 hours.
The crackdown targeted individuals attempting to cross into Iran illegally. Officials stated that acting on a tip-off regarding the presence of Afghan nationals, including women and children, staying illegally on an empty plot, a joint raid was conducted leading to the initial arrest of 49 suspects.
Police sources revealed that the detained Afghan nationals had entered Pakistan illegally from Afghanistan at different times. They were found residing in makeshift tents along the M-8 motorway before locals alerted the authorities. “They were trying to cross into Iran illegally through infrequent border routes,” a senior police officer confirmed.
