QUETTA: Loralai district in Pakistan’s Balochistan province is gaining international recognition for its high-quality olives and olive oil.

At the New York International Olive Oil Competition, Loralai Olive Oil won the Silver Award, highlighting Pakistan’s presence in the global olive oil market.

The pure extra-virgin olive oil from Loralai is being ranked among the world’s best for quality, taste, and health benefits.

The award has not only brought prestige to Balochistan but also opened new opportunities for Pakistan’s agricultural exports.

Local olive cultivation has created new paths to prosperity and self-reliance for farmers in the region.

Senior Scientific Officer Dr. Abdullah Baloch said the success of olive farming in upper Balochistan is proof that the region can produce world-class agricultural products.
