Australia Likely to Tour Pakistan Ahead of ICC T20 World Cup

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed the Australia tour ahead of the World Cup 2026 and released a schedule for three-match T20I series in Pakistan later this month.

All matches will be played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on 29 and 31 January, and 1 February. Australia’s T20I squad will arrive in Lahore on 28 January.

The coin toss for all three matches will take place at 5:30 PM PKT, with the first ball scheduled for 6 PM PKT.

The series provides crucial match practice for both sides ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. Pakistan is in Group A, while Australia is in Group B.

This will be Australia’s third visit to Pakistan since March-April 2022, when they played a three-match Test and ODI series followed by a single T20I. They also played three matches of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan.
