RAWALPINDI: Senior religious leaders from the National Paigham-e-Aman Committee (NPAC) met DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry at Pakistan Army headquarters (GHQ) on January 13, 2026, officials said.
The NPAC assured full cooperation in promoting the national narrative and strengthening unity.
Participants expressed unwavering solidarity with the armed forces and pledged joint resistance to narratives hostile to the state.
The council condemned Fitna al-Khawarij and the Afghan Taliban, saying there is no justification for terrorism.
The DG ISPR said unity of purpose and consensus on national security narratives are essential at this time.
Both sides held detailed discussions on internal security, particularly in the context of Fitna al-Khawarij, the TTP, and the TTA, and said their shared stance had further strengthened.
The meeting reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled positions on Kashmir and Gaza, calling support for oppressed people a moral responsibility.
The NPAC announced plans to spread messages of Muslim unity, social harmony, and constitutional equality nationwide through mosques and religious platforms.
The council and the military agreed on zero tolerance for hate speech, sectarianism, and takfiri narratives.
The DG ISPR said public awareness and truth-based messaging remain decisive tools against enemy psychological warfare.

The NPAC proposed expanding awareness and guidance sessions in mosques, seminaries, and universities to promote the state narrative.
Officials described the meeting as highly productive and expressed confidence in new avenues of trust and practical cooperation going forward.
