Prices of petrol and diesel fall massively

ISLAMABAD: Prices of petrol and diesel have dropped significantly in the international market.

In the global market, the price of petrol fell by $2.74 per barrel, bringing it down from $69.27 to $66.54 per barrel.

According to reports, the petrol premium also declined by 13 cents per barrel, decreasing from $5.14 to $5.01.

In addition, the customs duty on petrol was reduced by Rs 0.72 per litre, while the ex-refinery price of petrol fell by Rs 6.51 per litre.

There was also a reduction of Rs 0.68 per litre in exchange adjustment on petrol.

As a result, the ex-refinery price of petrol dropped from Rs 145.57 to Rs 139.06 per litre.

Meanwhile, diesel prices declined by $2.33 per barrel, lowering the price from $76.32 to $73.99 per barrel.

Customs duty on diesel decreased by Rs 0.80 per litre, while the exchange adjustment was reduced by Rs 0.35 per litre.

The ex-refinery price of diesel recorded a decrease of Rs 5.33 per litre, falling from Rs 155.33 to Rs 149.99 per litre.
