LAHORE: Police in Lahore have included the young man who spoke to the private university student for 27 minutes on the phone just before her suicide attempt in the ongoing investigation.
According to police sources, the incident revolves around a dispute over a love marriage, which allegedly led the girl to jump.
Once her condition improves, her detailed statement will be recorded, and the probe will advance after taking the youth’s full account.
Meanwhile, the special medical board formed for the student’s treatment has been expanded, with additional specialists added.
Head of Lahore General Hospital, Professor Farooq Afzal, stated that professors of medicine, along with respiratory and gynecology experts, have now joined the board.
He assured that the patient is being provided with the best possible medical care and facilities.
