QUETTA: The Pakistan Meteorological Department said cold and dry weather will persist across most districts of Balochistan.
It warned that northern areas will experience even harsher conditions in the coming days.
Severe cold has disrupted daily life in Quetta and other upper districts.
The department recorded a minimum temperature of minus 2 degrees Celsius in Quetta.
Kalat saw temperatures fall to minus 4 degrees Celsius.
Ziarat also recorded a minimum of minus 4 degrees Celsius.
In Zhob, the temperature dropped to 1 degree Celsius.
Southern and central districts experienced comparatively milder conditions.
The minimum temperature in Sibi stood at 8 degrees Celsius.
Turbat recorded 11 degrees Celsius.
In Nokkundi, the temperature fell to 3 degrees Celsius.
Chaman recorded a minimum of 2 degrees Celsius.
Coastal areas remained less cold.
Gwadar recorded a minimum temperature of 10 degrees Celsius.
Jiwani stood at 11 degrees Celsius.

The meteorological department forecast the continuation of cold and dry weather over the next few days.
It advised residents to take precautionary measures to avoid cold-related risks.
