In remarks to the media in Washington D.C., the Ambassador linked this elevated stature to recent successes, stating, “the position that Pakistan has achieved on the global stage… has never been achieved before.”

Ambassador Sheikh highlighted a significant upswing in bilateral relations with the host country over the past year, pointing to multiple high-level contacts between the leadership of Pakistan and the United States. He credited this diplomatic progress directly to Pakistan’s leadership.

“The credit for this successful diplomacy of Pakistan goes to the leadership,” Sheikh stated, underscoring the strategic direction behind the outreach.

Looking forward, the envoy expressed optimism for continued positive momentum, framing the relationship as a long-term partnership crucial for international stability. “Pakistan’s diplomacy in the U.S. is continuing successfully and the Pak-US partnership will further improve in the future,” he affirmed.

Meanwhile in a grisly discovery, rescue officials recovered the bodies of four individuals, including two women and a boy, from a manhole in the city’s Mochko area near My Kulachi on Friday. The incident has sparked a major police investigation and top-level political outcry.

According to a rescue department spokesperson, the operation began after a citizen reported spotting a human organ in the sewer. Upon arrival and after retrieving the first body, rescuers unearthed three more. All four severely decomposed bodies, estimated to be around 15 days old, were shifted to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities.
