KP Orders Dismissal of 645 University Employees Hired During Caretaker Govt

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Higher Education Department has ordered the dismissal of 645 university employees hired during the caretaker government period

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Higher Education Department has ordered the dismissal of 645 university employees hired during the caretaker government period. The department has given universities 10 days to comply and submit reports.

Officials directed all public universities to fully enforce the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Removal from Service Act 2025. They called for immediate and complete implementation of the law.

The appointments took place across 18 public universities during the caretaker setup.

Women University Mardan hired 140 employees. The University of Agriculture Dera Ismail Khan hired 120. Buner University recruited 76 staff members. The University of Chitral hired 63, while Malakand University recruited 54.

The University of Science and Technology hired 34 employees. Bacha Khan University Charsadda hired 33. The Institute of Management Sciences recruited 32 staff members.

Swat University hired 22 employees. Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Sheringal recruited 15. Bannu University of Science and Technology hired 14, while Lakki Marwat University recruited 11.

Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan hired nine employees. Shaheed Army Public School University Nowshera recruited eight. Haripur University hired six, while the University of Peshawar and Pak-Austria Fachhochschule Haripur each recruited four.

The department has asked universities to act without delay and report compliance within the stipulated timeframe.
