TURBAT: The grieving family of Rahmdal Fazal, a laborer and driver shot dead in Turbat, held a press conference on Wednesday to vehemently deny official allegations against him and demand immediate justice from the state.
Addressing media at the Turbat Press Club, family members described Rahmdal as a hardworking Zamyad vehicle driver with no links to any organization or illicit activity. They condemned the post-murder claims labeling him an “informer” or “pimp” as “completely false and fabricated.”
In an emotional appeal, the family asserted that killing individuals on such unverified pretexts constitutes “open terrorism and genocide of the Baloch,” not a legitimate struggle. They argued that the extrajudicial killing of innocent, poor youth serves no just cause but instead sows fear, chaos, and hatred within society.
The family questioned why, if there were any suspicions against Rahmdal, they were not approached to clarify the situation before resorting to violence. They highlighted how such acts leave impoverished families utterly helpless and destitute.
Issuing a direct demand to the state, the family called for a transparent and swift investigation into Rahmdal Fazal’s murder. They insisted that the “terrorist elements” involved must be identified and severely punished to ensure the blood of the innocent does not go in vain. The press conference underscored the growing anguish among civilian families caught in the crossfire of Balochistan’s complex security landscape.
Meanwhile in a significant display of cross-border solidarity, a coalition of Pakistani-American organizations and international relief partners dispatched three containers of critical medical aid, valued at over $600,000, for flood-affected regions of Pakistan.
A grand ceremony held in Houston, Texas, marked the departure of the containers, which are packed with essential medical equipment and supplies destined for hospitals and medical centers in the hardest-hit areas. The event drew diplomatic representatives, community leaders, and officials from multiple collaborating organizations.
