SARGODHA: Two police officers were killed and three others injured when their patrol vehicle collided with a train in Sargodha, authorities said on Tuesday.
The officers of the Special Police Unit (SPU) were on routine patrol when the vehicle was suddenly struck by the train.
Punjab Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar ordered an immediate investigation and requested a detailed report from the SPU DIG.
“The Punjab Police will provide full support to the families of the fallen officers and will not leave them alone,” he said.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
