DI KHAN: Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Kulachi area of Dera Imsail Khan (DI Khan), killing seven militants, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
Naik Yasir Khan of the Pakistan Army was martyred during the exchange of fire. He hailed from Mardan District.
The ISPR said Naik Yasir Khan displayed bravery and sacrificed his life in the line of duty.
The killed militants were linked to the India-backed proxy group Fitna al-Khawarij, the ISPR added.
A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered during the operation.
Clearance and sanitization operations are ongoing in the area.
The ISPR said counter-terrorism efforts are being carried out with full intensity under the stability drive.
Security forces reiterated their commitment to eliminating India-supported terrorism from the country.
