Senior BLA Commander Killed in Turbat

QUETTA: Security forces carried out a major operation in the mountainous area of Turbat, killing a senior commander of the India proxy Fitna al Hindustan, according to security sources. Officials identified him as Ganjal Shakla, also known as Sarab. They described him as a high-value target within the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA)’s Majeed Brigade.

Security sources said he had been linked to bombings, rocket attacks, and kidnappings in Balochistan over the past decade. They added that he failed to escape the cordon and was killed in an exchange of fire.

Forces reportedly recovered weapons, narcotics, and what they described as BLA communication codes from the site. His death is being seen by officials as a significant setback for the group.

Authorities said operations against armed militants will continue.

The frequent movements and activities of the BLA terrorists were closely monitored, and their route from Kanu Valley to Omar Dhore was identified after multiple reconnaissance and surveillance missions. Consequently:

Special Heavy Troops from FCIU and SOW CT Laine, along with Ambuh units, conducted operations in the Omar Dhore area.

A party of 6 to 8 terrorists has been successfully intercepted.

Active engagement between security forces and terrorists is ongoing.

According to intercepted communications, three terrorists have been neutralized, and their commander has ordered the remaining members to evacuate the injured and retreat, noting that their ammunition is running low.

Additionally, a deterrence and interception sortie by helicopters under UC Command CR is being deployed to intercept fleeing terrorists.

Operation is under continuous monitoring and follow-up.

It is worth mentioning that the Indian-sponsored militant groups like BLA, BLF, BRA and many others have launched many such attacks in the ongoing year.

The RAW-backed militants get funded, weaponized and propagated from across the border and launch attacks not only on the security forces but also on the innocent civilians across Balochistan.
