QUETTA: The Quetta’s district administration has imposed a complete ban on Qingqi (Zarange) rickshaws within city limits. A formal notification has also been issued.
Meanwhile, a large-scale crackdown against violators has been started to seize all banned rickshaws.
According to the Traffic Police, they impounded 98 Qingqi rickshaws over the last five days for violating the ban. Officials noted that these vehicles severely disrupt traffic flow and slow down movement on major roads.
According to the Traffic Police spokesperson, enforcement teams launched a crackdown immediately after the ban. During the five-day operation, 98 rickshaws were seized under Section 115 of the Motor Vehicles Ordinance.

Authorities said the campaign will continue to ensure strict compliance with the ban and to improve traffic conditions across the city.
