JACOBABAD: In a major disruption to rail services, two key trains—the Jaffar Express traveling from Peshawar to Quetta and the Bolan Mail originating from Karachi—were suddenly halted at Jacobabad Railway Station on Saturday due to urgent security reasons. The decision, confirmed by railway authorities, was taken as a precautionary measure to ensure passenger safety amid unspecified threats. Officials have launched a comprehensive assessment of the situation, with services expected to resume only after conditions normalize.
The abrupt stoppage has left hundreds of passengers stranded, leading to significant inconvenience.
