Pakistan responds to Afghanistan's hostiltiy or border

QUETTA: According to reliable sources, the TTA opened unprovoked fire at the Chaman border.

In response, Pakistani security forces launched a strong, effective, and forceful counteraction.

Initial reports indicate heavy casualties on the Afghan side, and several checkpoints have reportedly suffered significant damage.

Further details are awaited.

According to the former spokesperson of the Balochistan goverment Babar Yousafzai, the Pakistani forces are standing alert on the Pakistan-Afghanistan Chaman Border.

It is worth mentioning that the Taliban-Led Afghan government has come up with a provocative stance against Pakistan in the recent few months.

The attack on the border has been launched not for the first time.

Aghanistan has violated the ceasefire during the past few months on numerous occasions.

In the start of October, a similar kind of an attack was launched on the Chaman border by the Afghan security forces.

However, Pakistan’s cautious and calculated counter-attack forced the Taliban government to seek for the peace talks between the two countries.

Both the countries have held peace talks in Doha and Istanbul thrice.

Pakistan has a clear stance that the Taliban-led Afghan government should take necessary measures against the militants who launch attacks on Pakistan’s territory.

However, the Taliban government has denied Pakistan’s demand on frequent occasions calling it an internal security laps of Pakistan.

The mediators too, have stressed on Afghanistan to cooperate with the efforts that aim regional peace and stability.

Instead of taking necessary measures against the militants , the Taliban have opted to reveal hostility even on the border.

Pakistan has been advicating the efforts for the global peace and has fought a long and hard war on terror.
