LٓAHORE: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is taking its excitement on a global tour, with star-studded roadshows scheduled for two major international hubs this month. Following a flagship event in London, the league’s promotional caravan is set to arrive in New York, aiming to amplify its brand and connect with the diaspora ahead of its next season.
According to sources, the New York roadshow is planned for next weekend and will feature a high-profile contingent from the national team. The event is expected to be attended by T20I captain Salman Ali Agha, Test captain Shan Masood, and top-order batter Saud Shakeel. They will be joined by senior officials from the PSL and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to promote the league’s stature and broaden its international appeal.
This dual-city initiative follows the London roadshow scheduled for December 7, which will see the participation of superstar Babar Azam, alongside Sahibzada Farhan and fast bowler Haris Rauf. The PCB states that these events are crucial for the international branding of the PSL, designed to introduce league players to a global audience and foster direct interaction with cricket fans worldwide.
Each roadshow will feature a packed agenda of special programs, media interactions, and engaging fan activities to build anticipation for the upcoming season. The board believes these events will play a pivotal role in the league’s global promotion and offer a memorable experience for supporters abroad.
The move underscores the PCB’s strategy to market the PSL as a world-class tournament. By leveraging the star power of its national captains and key players in major Western metropolises, the board aims to strengthen the league’s commercial footprint and deepen its connection with the vast Pakistani expatriate community, turning global cities into hubs of PSL fervor.
