PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi says the province is fully ready to host the Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches and international cricket.
He visited Peshawar’s Arbab Niaz Stadium (renamed after Imran Khan Cricket Stadium) on Sunday along with Ali Tareen, former owner of Multan Sultans. The governor inspected the stadium’s current condition, facilities, and management arrangements.
In a post on X, Kundi said the people of Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are “completely prepared” to welcome international cricket.
He added that the province is eager to host Pakistan Super League matches in the coming days, which he said will further highlight KP’s importance in national cricket.
Kundi tagged the Pakistan Cricket Board, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, and PSL officials, expressing hope that Peshawar will soon reclaim a strong place on Pakistan’s cricket map.

He also expressed confidence in the ongoing efforts to upgrade and modernize Arbab Niaz Stadium.
