Forces eliminated key militant commander in DI Khan

DI Khan: A major joint intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted in the Kot Sultan and Kulachi areas of Dera Ismail Khan on 25 November 2025.

Security forces, including teams from Special Command units and various regiments, were deployed following credible reports regarding the presence of militant commander Sher Ali along with 30 to 40 armed fighters.

The operation began in the early hours, and intense engagements continued throughout the day.

According to security officials, seven separate encounters took place involving ground troops, armoured units, and support from counter-terror aviation.

As a result, 15 to 16 militants were killed during the clashes.

Two injured militants surrendered to the security forces. Aerial strikes were also conducted, targeting multiple militant hideouts.

Initial reports confirmed serious damage to the residences and operational points associated with militant commanders Sher Ali and Aziz Khaksar.

Officials stated that further assessment of casualties and damage is under way as clearance operations continue in the region.

Security sources confirmed that no casualties were reported among security personnel or civilians during the operation.

The security officials said that the area will be cleared from the Indian-sponsored militants of Fitna al Khawarij.

The security officials vow that forces continue the anti-terrorism campaign with full force.

The security forces have a clear stance that to completely eliminate the Indian-sponsored militancy from KP.

It is worth mentioning that the Indian-sponsored militants of Fitna al Khawarij have launched several militant-attacks in KP and Balochistan in the past many years.

All such terror groups are funded, trained and backed by India and have their havens and hideouts in Afghanistan.

Pakistan has stressed on Afghanistan to ensure that the militant groups do not use the Afghan soil to launch attacks on the Pakistani territory.

However, no serious measures have been taken by the Afghan government against the Indian-sponsored militants so far.
