DUKI: The Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti’s vision of a “Drug-Free Balochistan” and under the special directives of Deputy Commissioner Duki Muhammad Naeem Khan, the Levies Force, led by Assistant Commissioner Duki Dr. Abdul Salam.
Furthermore, the operations primarily targeted the elimination of narcotics, prevention of illegal borewells, and suppression of unauthorized poppy cultivation.
During the raids, a total of five illegal borewells were completely destroyed and rendered non-functional, marking a significant step in the administration’s crackdown on unlawful activities.
These actions represent a key move toward the practical implementation of the Chief Minister’s vision.
The administration focused on the fact that such targeted operations will continue consistently to safeguard society from drugs, illegal activities, and social decay.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Naeem Khan mentioned the administration’s firm stance against illegal poppy cultivation, stating that a zero-tolerance policy is being strictly enforced. “Individuals found involved in the cultivation of poppy will be placed on the Fourth Schedule, and the respective lands will be taken into government custody,” he noted.
Moreover, the Assistant Commissioner, Abdul Salam, underscored the importance of community cooperation in supporting law enforcement efforts and ensuring sustainable results from these operations.
In this regard, law enforcement sources indicated that the operations were carried out after careful planning and intelligence gathering, ensuring minimal disruption to lawful residents while targeting the specific illegal activities.
On the contrary, the CM has also directed the local administrations of province in order to vanish away the drugs.
The administration reasserted that its focus remains on both immediate enforcement and long-term preventive measures against drug proliferation and unauthorized land use.
So far, the residents of Luni Tehsil have welcomed the operations, expressing hope that such initiatives will continue to strengthen law and order, promote social stability, and contribute to the broader goal of a drug-free and prosperous Balochistan.
