RAWALPINDI: Pakistan have set a huge total of 196 runs against Zimbabwe in the Tri-Nation Series match at Rawalpindi.
After having won the toss, the Pakistan’s skipper Salman Ali Agha chose to bat first. Saim Ayub, despite getting a start , collapsed on 13 when Pakistan lost their first wicket with 29 runs on the board.
Pakistan managed a 103 partnership on the second wickets, as both Sahibzada Farhan and Babar Azam smashed the ball all around the park.
Sahibzada Farhan made a terrif 63 runs knock off just 41 balls before his was bowled by Sikandar Raza.
Babar Azam, after being down in the T20 format for quite some time, got the momentum and smashed a 51 ball-74 runs knock.
He was well-caught by Brad Evans on the boundary line while attempting a big shot.
Fakhar Zaman came into bat when only a few deliveries of Pakistan’s innings were remaining.
Fakhar powered a 27 runs knock on just 9 deliveries hitting three massive sixes in the last over.
He was caught on the last ball of the final over.
Zimbabwe are off to a bad start as they have lost both their openers Marumani and Bennett with just 14 runs on the board.
Pakistan managed a massive score of 195 /5 in their allotted 20 overs.
Pakistan have won both their matches in the Tr-Nation series so far whereas Zimbabwe have won one game in the event so far.
Sri Lanka, after their two defeats are yet to win their first match.
