ZIARAT: In a direct outreach initiative, the district administration of Ziarat organized an open court at the Government Boys High School in Ahmed One Union Council Saro. The event was held on the directives of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir, aiming to address and resolve the everyday problems faced by the local population.
The open court saw a large gathering, with district officers, tribal elders, and people from various schools of thought in attendance. A significant number of citizens submitted applications detailing their issues. Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Riaz Khan Dawar presided over the session, issuing on-the-spot orders for problems that fell under the district administration’s jurisdiction. For matters requiring attention from higher authorities, he assured the public that official letters would be written to seek resolutions.
DC Dawar emphasized that the core purpose of this initiative is to solve people’s problems “at their doorsteps.” He reiterated the Balochistan government’s clear orders to provide all basic facilities of life and protect the interests of the people. He stated that vigorous steps are being taken to improve the functioning of key sectors like education and health, and to maintain the peace and security currently enjoyed in Ziarat district.
He urged the community to continue identifying their problems at every available forum, promising that the administration is fully committed to solving them.
Meanwhile a high-level review meeting was held in Chaman to oversee the ongoing joint vaccination campaign against measles, rubella, and polio. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Habib Ahmed Bangulzai and attended by senior health officials and representatives from the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF.
Health department officials briefed the meeting, confirming that the intensive campaign is running from November 17 to 29. The drive involves door-to-door visits by health teams to administer vaccines to children, aiming to effectively prevent the spread of these dangerous diseases.
