DOHA: Pakistan beat the arch rivals India in the Rising Stars Asia Cup T20 match by 8 wickets.
After having won the toss, Pakistan decided to bowl first.
India A were bowled out on 136 runs in the 19 overs, Vaibhav Sruyavanshi made 45 runs on just 28 balls whereas Naman Dheer was the other top-scorer with 35 runs.
Shahid Aziz picked up three wickets. Saad Masood and Maaz Sadaqat shared two wickets each.
Pakistan chased down the target of 137 runs inside 14 overs. Maaz Sadaqat played a fantastic innings of 79 not out runs on just 47 balls.
He smashed 4 sixes and 7 fours. Mohammad Faiq also remained unbeaten with his 16 of 14 balls. Pakistan were home in 13.2 overs with 8 wickets in hand and 40 balls left.
Earlier, the Pakistan’s national team whitewashed Sri Lanka in the ODI series. Sri Lanka were sent into bat first and they were bowled out on 211 runs.
Mohammad Wasim Junior three wickets while Haris Rauf and Faisal Akram shared two wickets each.
Pakistan chased down the target of 212 runs in the 45th over for the loss of four wickets.
Mohammad Rizwan made 61 runs while Fakhar Zaman also made 55 runs off just 45 balls.
Both the batters scored their second successive half centuries in the series.
Mohammad Waseem grabbed the player of the match award whereas Haris Rauf was named the player of the series with 9 wickets to his name.
Another important aspect for Pakistan is that Babar Azam is back in the form now.
He made a hundred in the second ODI which was his first ton after 26 months.
The 100-drought for Babar Azam came to an end after 83 international innings.
A tri-nations series will be underway on Tuesday between the hosts Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
