RAWALPINDI: Cricket fans can now secure their seats for the upcoming T20 International (T20I) tri-series featuring Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe, with tickets for all matches going on sale starting today.
The series, a thrilling precursor to the T20 World Cup, is scheduled to commence on November 18. All the high-octane matches will be held at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, promising a festival of cricket for local enthusiasts. To accommodate different segments of fans, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a tiered pricing structure, making the event accessible to a wide audience.
Physical tickets will be available for purchase from November 15, providing fans with multiple avenues to acquire their passes. For affordable access, tickets for the general enclosures have been priced at a modest Rs 200. For an upgraded viewing experience, first-class enclosure tickets are available for Rs 300. Furthermore, tickets for the premium categories, including the VIP gallery and the platinum box, have also been put up for sale, catering to those seeking a luxury experience at the stadium.
The announcement has generated significant excitement among cricket lovers, who are eager to watch their national team compete against international sides on home turf. The tri-series format guarantees a series of competitive matches, as each team will face the others in a round-robin stage before the top two contest the final. With the ticket sale now active, fans are encouraged to make their purchases early to ensure they don’t miss out on the action-packed cricket spectacle set to unfold in Rawalpindi later this month.
Meanwhile Pakistan has defeated Sri Lanka in the ODI series after getting a decisive lead in the series in the 2nd match at the Pindi Stadium.
The men in green get a comprehensive 8 wickets-win over the visitor in the second one day in Rawalpindi. Sri Lanka had scored 288 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
Janith Liyanage made 54 runs and Kusal Mendis was the other top scorer with 44 runs. Samarawickrama too added 42 runs.
