ISLAMABAD: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif held a special session with students and teachers of Convent Jesus and Mary, Beaconhouse, and Roots School System.
During the session, DG ISPR discussed Pakistan Army’s operational matters and the country’s internal security situation. The principal of Convent Jesus and Mary praised the sacrifices of the armed forces, while students and teachers shared their thoughts.
Students called the session “a great honor” and expressed pride in the military’s readiness to protect Pakistan at all costs. DG ISPR emphasised viewing facts from an accurate perspective and warned against propaganda and misleading information on social media.
Teachers noted that the session highlighted how to counter the strategic arrogance of Pakistan’s eternal adversaries. Students said responsible citizens must verify news and shield themselves from online misinformation.
They added that the Pakistan Army and the public have built a strong national front against external threats. Students acknowledged understanding the military’s role in protecting the country from terrorism.
Earlier this month, DG ISPR, during a session with journalists, warned the Afghan Taliban that Islamabad will no longer tolerate cross-border terrorism, declaring that “enough is enough.”
Pakistan “does not need Taliban’s suggestions, we need solutions, and we will find them ourselves,” he said adding the armed forces remain the guarantors of Pakistan’s security and are actively targeting the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), and other militant outfits.
“It is wrong to say Pakistan ever celebrated the Taliban’s return,” he clarified.
The DG ISPR said during the recent Istanbul talks, Pakistani officials clearly told the Afghan Taliban that “terrorism is your responsibility to control, and how you do it is your problem.”
