QUETTA: Dr. M.B. Raja Dharejo, a senior officer and distinguished public health professional, has officially assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer for the People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI) in Balochistan. His appointment, which took effect on Monday, was immediately followed by a comprehensive meeting with the organization’s senior leadership, including directors, managers, and officers, at the PPHI Balochistan Head Office.
In his inaugural address to the staff, Dr. Dharejo laid out a clear and ambitious vision for his tenure. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to transforming PPHI’s healthcare services, making them more efficient, transparent, and patient-friendly. Acknowledging the critical role of the organization, he described PPHI Balochistan as a “beacon of hope” for residents in the province’s remote and far-flung districts. He declared that providing superior, accessible healthcare at the public’s doorstep is the institution’s foremost priority.
Dr. Dharejo issued a compelling call to action, urging all doctors and staff to perform their duties with the utmost honesty, professional dedication, and a profound spirit of humanity. He stressed that such an approach is fundamental to strengthening public trust. Emphasizing the pillars of discipline, performance-based strategic planning, and timely decision-making, the new CEO underscored that the success of any institution hinges on effective teamwork and collective effort.
During the meeting, the senior officers briefed Dr. Dharejo on their respective departments’ current performance and challenges. In turn, he presented the organization’s future priorities and outlined a series of upcoming reform initiatives. Reiterating his resolve, Dr. Dharejo pledged to expand and modernize PPHI Balochistan’s healthcare services in alignment with contemporary needs, with the ultimate goal of ensuring improved public health and community welfare across the entire province. The meeting was attended by key figures including Chief Operating Officer Muhammad Zakir, the Chief Financial Officer, Public Health Specialist, and heads of monitoring, audit, and management.
