Armed forces will root out the militancy: Khwaja Asif

ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khwaja Asif has said that Pakistan can give protection to its territory.

Be it Balochistan or KP, the armed forces will root out the militancy.

While talking to a media outlet, the Defence minister said that the dialogues with Afghanistan are foiled, the talks have ended with no result.

Pakistan only had a demand that the militancy in Pakistan should not be carried out from Aghanistan.

However, they were not willing to provide with a guarantee in this regard.

The Pakistan’s Defence Minister further said that Afghanistan has become a global haven of militants.

The militants have divided regions among themselves. The Kabul government is not in complete control of Afghanistan.

We have to trust-bound with the Taliban. If the militancy from the Afghanistan’s territory continues, we will retaliate and eliminate it.

The Defence Minister has said that Pakistan’s terms with India are under-massive strain at the moment, similar to those that were at the time of war.

The tension with Afghanistan may escalate. Khwaja Asif further said that the policy adopted by Sohail Afridi is not aligned with the state of Pakistan.

Talking about the 27th amendment, Khwaja Asif said the government is ‘okay’ with the number game.

There was no consensus on all amendments so a few of them have been turned down.

It is worth mentioning that the voting for the 27th amendment in the senate of Pakistan continues.

64 members have voted in support of the amendment.

Two of them have also voted for the section 2 of the 27th amendment.

aifullah Abro, the senator of PTI has also given his vote in the support of the 27th amendment.

The opposition members carried out a protest against the 27th amendment and tore the copies of the agenda. They chanted slogans in front of the dice of the chairman senate.
