QILA SAIFULLAH: The annual District Sports Week concluded with a vibrant closing ceremony at the local ground, drawing a large crowd of students, teachers, parents, and local dignitaries who gathered to celebrate student athletes and the importance of extracurricular activities.

Deputy Commissioner Sagar Kumar, who attended as the special guest, emphasized the critical role of sports in a student’s holistic development. “Sports and other extracurricular activities play an important role in the physical, mental and moral training of students,” he stated, assuring that the district administration would continue its full support for promoting sports alongside formal education.

Presiding over the ceremony, District Education Officer Syed Sajid Hussain Shah Tirmizi echoed the sentiment, stating that such activities are an “integral part of curricular education” as they build essential life skills like self-confidence, leadership, and teamwork. He emphasized that modern education extends beyond textbooks and is vital for success in practical life.

The week-long event featured a range of competitions, including running, football, cricket, volleyball, badminton, and tug-of-war, with students from various institutions across the district participating enthusiastically. Prizes and shields were distributed to the winning students, with the Deputy Commissioner congratulating the victors and encouraging others to persist in their efforts.

The ceremony concluded with captivating student performances of national songs and tableaus, which were warmly received by the audience, marking a successful end to an initiative aimed at steering the youth toward healthy and constructive pursuits.

Meanwhile the Police and the district administration have carried out an operation and ruined a haven used for drugs in Qila Saifullah.

According to new Balochistan news updates, Qila Saifullah’s district administration as well as the police team launched an operation and ruined a house, used as a haven for druggist.

The druggists would gather here later in the evening and take the dozes of drugs till late night.

Such figures are made addicted by the local agents, backed by the foreign handlers, and once they become desperate for drugs, they are pushed for insurgencies and militancy across Balochistan.
