When asked about the party’s candidate for the Chief Minister’s position, the spokesperson said that this decision rests with the central leadership, and they have not yet been informed who will be nominated.
He added that whoever the leadership selects will receive their full support.
The coalition government is currently functioning smoothly and serving the province effectively.
He further explained that there is no ambiguity regarding the agreement between the Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Muslim League (N).
Both parties had mutually decided on a two-and-a-half-year tenure for the offices of the Balochistan Chief Minister, Senate Chairman, Speaker of the National and Balochistan Assemblies, as well as governorships in two provinces.
As part of the arrangement, PPP received the governorship in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while PML-N was given the governorships in Balochistan and Sindh.
PML-N later handed over the Sindh governorship to its coalition partner MQM.
