GWADAR: In a move to reclaim state property, Deputy Commissioner Hamoodur Rehman conducted a surprise inspection of the Government Boys Degree College Syed Zahoor Shah to address the issue of illegal land encroachments.
During the visit, the DC was accompanied by the college principal, Naseer Ahmed Baloch, and a former official from the Building and Road (B&R) department, Maqsood Ahmed Baloch. Mr. Rehman thoroughly inspected the entire college premises to assess the scale of the illegal occupations.
The Deputy Commissioner issued clear on-the-spot orders for the immediate removal of all illegal structures and occupants from the college’s land. He stated that all occupied land must be vacated without delay.
To prevent future encroachments, Mr. Rehman also directed the immediate start of construction for a boundary wall around the college. He instructed the ex-B&R official to begin the work promptly.
Furthermore, the DC reviewed the proposed site for a new futsal ground within the college and instructed the relevant officers to commence work on the project, signalling a broader effort to improve the college’s facilities.

Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, the Provincial Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami and a Member of the Provincial Assembly, has announced the end of a month-long maritime boycott by local fishermen.
The declaration was made during a press conference at the Pisthi Press Club, which was also attended by the Assistant Commissioner of Pasni, the local DSP, and other civil officials.
Maulana Baloch stated that fishing activities would now resume in full. However, he stipulated a key condition for the agreement: the captains, or skippers, of all fishing boats must be local residents. He clarified that crew members from other parts of the country would be permitted to work and earn a livelihood.
