Blast out of gas leakage causes a woman’s death in Quetta

QUETTA: A blast out a gas leakage causes a death of a woman and injured some eight people in Quetta.

The incident took place near the Sariab Road area where, a house got filled with gas due to leakage.

A blast occurred as soon as a woman lit fire.

The woman died and 8 residents of the house sustained serious injuries.

The body and the injured people were shifted to the hospital.

The incident saddened everyone in the surrounding. The police are carrying out an investigation of the matter.

According to the rescue officials, such incident take place particularly in the winter season when the people keep their stove switched during to hours when the gas supply is suspended.

As soon as the supply is restored, the gas leaks out of the stoves and gets filled in the entire house.

Lighting fire or even switching on a bulb may lead to some terrible and deadly accidents.

So, the people are advised to take precautionary measures and keep their stoves turned off until when needed.

The rescue department also advise the people to be cautious at night to ensure that the stoves and the heaters are turned off before the people go to beds.

They also advise them never to keep the heaters turned on in their bedrooms at nights.

So small measures of care and caution may keep people safe and sound.

It is worth mentioning that many such incidents cause hundreds of deaths every year, not only in Balochistan but across Pakistan.

People need to be alert and vigilant by themselves in this regard.

Gas supply to a household is a something that cannot only provide with a great comfort to the people, but it can also cause great disaster as the same time if left uncared for by the people.
