Security forces kill 9 Khawarij in targeted operation in Orakzai

ORAKZAI: Pakistani security forces killed nine militants during a targeted operation in the Ghalju area of Upper Orakzai Tehsil of Orakzai District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, officials said.

According to security sources, security forces conducted intelligence based operation against terrorists associated with Indian proxy Fitna al Khawarij.

The operation, based on actionable intelligence, aimed to dismantle active terrorist networks in the region.
troops exchanged heavy fire with militants during the raid. The area remains under intense search operations to ensure no remaining elements pose a threat.

The operation follows a major Pakistani military offensive carried out on the night of 7–8 October, which, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), resulted in the elimination of 19 Indian-backed terrorists affiliated with the proxy group Fitna al-Khwarij.

ISPR also reported that nine soldiers, including Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Arif and Major Tayyab Rehmat, were martyred while bravely engaging militants during the previous operation. Pakistani forces responded immediately, killing all 30 Indian-backed militants involved.

Officials emphasized that operations against militant networks in Orakzai will continue until terrorism is completely eradicated, underscoring Pakistan’s commitment to national security.

Earlier today, Pakistan Army spokesperson said in a statement that security forces forces repelled coordinated attacks by Afghan Taliban fighters on multiple locations at Pak-Afghan border in Balochistan.

The ISPR said that the assaults, launched in the early hours of 15 October, targeted four strategic points in the Spin Boldak area of Balochistan but were effectively neutralised by Pakistani troops.
