IGP Tahir vows continued sacrifice, renames Police Station after martyr Muhammad Khamari

QUETTA: In a moving tribute, the Gwadar City Police Station has been renamed “Shaheed Muhammad Khamari” in honor of a martyred officer, announced Inspector General of Police (IGP) Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir, during his visit to Gwadar.

The renaming ceremony served to pay homage to the sacrifices of police personnel who have lost their lives in the fight against terrorism. IGP Tahir stated that such sacrifices “will never go in vain” and reaffirmed the police force’s commitment to protecting the lives and property of the public, vowing that they “will not hesitate to make any sacrifice.”

During his visit, the IGP personally went to the family home of Shaheed Muhammad Khamari to offer his condolences. He praised the martyr’s bravery, sense of duty, and dedication to public service, calling him a “real hero” whose sacrifice would “prove to be a torch for the new generations.”

IGP Tahir further resolved that the police force would always support the families of its martyrs, ensuring their welfare. He emphasized that ensuring public safety is the department’s primary responsibility and confirmed that concrete steps are being taken to improve the security situation.

The event was attended by senior police officials, including DIG Makran Range Dr. Pervez Imrani and SSP Gwadar Zia-ul-Haq Mandokhel.
