QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti presided over a high-level meeting to review the implementation of the Provincial Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), directing all departments to ensure timely completion of approved schemes with strict monitoring of quality standards.
In this regard, the meeting, attended by the provincial ministers for Planning and Development, Communication and Works, and Education, as well as the Chief Secretary Balochistan and administrative secretaries of all departments, was briefed in detail by Additional Chief Secretary (Planning and Development) Zahid Saleem.
In this sense, as per the briefing, the work on the expansion of the Green Bus project is progressing at a fast pace.
The procurement of new buses has already been completed, and the fleet is expected to arrive at Karachi Port by the second week of October.
The CM praised departments that had accelerated the implementation of their respective projects, urging others to maintain the same pace.
Furthermore, Bugti directed that all approved development schemes must be completed by January without exception. He focused on the idea that both the Green Bus and Pink Bus expansion projects should be finalized within October to ensure increased public transport facilities.
The Pink Bus service, dedicated to women commuters, will be launched soon, while the number of Green Buses in urban centers will also be increased to meet growing demand.

The Chief Minister announced that working women would be provided with electric bikes on easy installments.
“We want to see women become self-reliant and independent in their mobility and opportunities,” he stated.
He further instructed that the technical approvals of proposed projects for the next fiscal year must be completed by May to avoid delays in execution.

The Chief Minister also directed the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team to rigorously monitor the progress and quality of all ongoing projects, ensuring transparency and accountability in development works.
