RAWALPINDI: Two Chinese flights carrying relief goods for Pakistan’s flood victims arrived on Sunday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement, praising the gesture as a reflection of the all-weather friendship between the two countries.
Heavy rains and floods in Pakistan, triggered by water releases from Indian dams, have inundated over 4,700 villages in Punjab, affecting 4.7 million people. Heavy rains and floods have killed more than 1,000 people since the monsoon began in late June.
