ْQUETTA: The district administration in Quetta has launched a major crackdown against banned plastic bags and illegal mini petrol pumps.
During the operations, officials seized 500 kilograms of plastic bags and sealed eight shops and a warehouse involved in their sale. They also shut down 10 illegal mini petrol pumps.
A total of 18 people were arrested in connection with these activities. Out of these, 11 have been sent to jail.
The administration stated it has a zero-tolerance policy against such activities to protect public health and safety. They warned that these actions will continue without any discrimination in the future.
